Aunty Rozzy's first love is music. She first started to play the piano at 3 years of age and then she began lessons at 6. She also learnt to play the violin when she was eight.
She always enjoyed learning classical music and studied music very seriously after she left school at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The people there played all sorts of instruments. Some played piano like Aunty Rozzy, some were really good singers. Others played the guitar, the flute, the clarinet, the saxophone, the drums, and even a trombone. It was great fun there. Everybody played music altogether. After she left her study there, she taught music in school and then went on to play the piano in restaurants, on a cruise ship, in the theatre and in big hotels. Do you play a musical instrument?
Aunty Rozzy also loves fresh fruit and vegetables. They keep her strong and healthy and give her lots of energy to play different sport and other physical games. When she was at school, she played netball and did lots of swimming. Aunty Rozzy still swims and goes on long walks along the beach and in the bush and she likes to explore different places.
Aunty Rozzy grew up in Sydney, Australia and then lived in different places around the world. She did a trip to Europe and fell in love with Italy where she learnt to speak Italian. Can you speak another language?
When Aunty Rozzy met her husband, she moved to the United Kingdom. They lived there for two years and then moved to New York in the USA. While Aunty Rozzy was there, she did lots of exploring and studied the piano again so that she could work out some of the tricks for playing jazz piano. She loved it!
While she was living in New York, Aunty Rozzy met up with Perry and Harriette. Harriette was in her chariot searching for Nanna's Carrots and Perry was just flying around doing his own thing. One of the places he went to was Paris, but he came home for Nanna's Carrots because they just weren't the same. Like Aunty Rozzy, Perry and Harriette are actually Australian.
Now Aunty Rozzy lives in Melbourne and is spending lots more time with Perry and Harriette and together they sing about their favourite fruit and vegetables. They now make music videos together and even video games! They have so much fun!
Perry is an Australian Parrot, and as we all know from Nanna's Carrots, he likes to visit Paris. Well he's a pretty cool dude really. He is old and wise and has learnt quite a lot throughout his life.
He has realised that, without any doubt, one of the best things that you can do for yourself is to eat real fresh food. He knows that when we eat fresh fruit and vegetables, it keeps our bodies strong and gives us lots of energy to be able to run around and play games and generally have a good time.
Perry met up with Aunty Rozzy and Harriette when they were all in New York. Perry does quite a bit of flying around. It keeps him fit. Besides, he thinks its fun being active. Perry often sits up in a tree and sings and talks about lots of things with the other parrots. They all love singing and dancing.
Harriette is a rabbit and she is quite a bit younger than Perry. She has lots of energy and hops around all over the place! She is so playful and has a really inquisitive imagination. It was her idea to create an incredible edible alphabet because she likes to learn lots of things.
Harriette likes to learn music as well. She was always a good singer but when Aunty Rozzy played the piano, she just got so excited that she asked Aunty Rozzy to teach her to play the piano. Some of her other animal friends play other musical instruments too!
When she caught up with Aunty Rozzy and Perry in New York, she was in her chariot going in search of Nanna's Carrots. Now they are all home in Melbourne and they hang out together making music, eating fresh fruit and vegetables and generally having a great time together.
